kakalich Posted September 10, 2014 at 03:39 PM Report Posted September 10, 2014 at 03:39 PM Hello! My aunt has a set of parallel sentences. She doesn't know what it's meaning and hung it right or wrong? I tried to use a Chinese pad writing online to draw, but I can't recognize some words. Could you help me, please? Thank you! Quote
Shelley Posted September 10, 2014 at 04:46 PM Report Posted September 10, 2014 at 04:46 PM Hello and welcome to the forums. I can tell you it is the right way up. I will leave the translation to someone who can probably recognize this easily. It looks very nice, i hope you enjoy looking at it. Quote

Shelley Posted September 10, 2014 at 05:09 PM Report Posted September 10, 2014 at 05:09 PM I think that as the OP didn't even know if it was the right way up a translation to English would be of more use. i will have a go at it my self later when I have more time. But I think it it is something along the lines of may your wine goblets always be full I will have to work on the second line. Quote
MPhillips Posted September 10, 2014 at 08:44 PM Report Posted September 10, 2014 at 08:44 PM How about: "A goblet full of wine raises one's spirits, A bookcase full of books pleases one's soul." 2 Quote
