Joshmakesnoise Posted September 10, 2014 at 07:17 PM Report Posted September 10, 2014 at 07:17 PM Hey guys, this is my first post. I am going to china on business and have now got my invitation letter and everything i need to process the Visa. My planned stay in China will be 6 months but this is where my problem is. My invitation letter confirms I will stay in China from the 5th October till the 27th March. This leaves me with a 5 day window to actually apply for the 6 month Visa. As we all know that the business visa is active from the date of application. Therefore If I apply on the 26th of September i will have a Visa valid till the 26th March. I can not apply on the 27th September as this is a Saturday so I will only be able to apply on the 29th September leaving everything very tight and possibly not getting my visa. What do I do? I've already e-mailed the company that issued me the invitation letter. But I was wandering maybe I can just apply for the 1 Year Visa? I'm fairly worried about this and I will call the Visa Office tomorrow but can anyone give me some peace of mind. Thank you all, Josh. Quote
Basil Posted September 11, 2014 at 02:23 AM Report Posted September 11, 2014 at 02:23 AM Just apply for the 6 month visa. If need be, the company can get you a one or two month extension later. So really, do not worry too much about the exact dates on the letter. Quote
muyongshi Posted September 13, 2014 at 03:10 AM Report Posted September 13, 2014 at 03:10 AM I don't believe you can get a 6 month M visa for length of each visit. 90 day is standard. Beyond that, I always apply for 1 year multiple entry no matter what the invite says and I haven't had a problem so far. Quote
