What does my tattoo really mean?

I've never come across anyone in China with a nonsensical tattoo in English, though. That seems to be confined to idiots in the west who get tattooed in a language they don't know, by tattooists who know even less.

A Chinese friend-of-a-friend in England had a tattoo saying "I don't sad" in a vaguely cursive script. She thought it said "I don't care" (which would have been an equally stupid tattoo to be honest, bad grammar or no bad grammar...)

I talked to a Vietnamese ladyboy in Saigon with  tattooed on herself. I asked her what it meant, and she said she didn't know, and I told her I'm pretty sure it means water.

Also, the Chinese/Asian version of getting tattoos without knowing the meaning seems to be buying $2 English T-shirts without knowing the meaning. Some of the best I've seen are "Acne" (I did a double-take to make sure it wasn't "Acme"), "BOY" on a girl, and many other gibberish words created by a cat jumping on a keyboard or something similar.

I knew a Chinese guy with "HUSH" tattooed down the length of the inside of his index finger, so that when he held it up to his mouth it would make a 'shut-up' double-whammy.
