Practice listening comprehension and sentence creation (HSK-based)

Hi all,

I've just released a website for listening comprehension and sentence creation for the HSK levels 1 and 2 exam (simplified or traditional). You can practice listening and using those words in context (instead of just seeing flashcard vocabulary all the time). I created it to help myself not feel so lost in Taiwan when people speak to me rapidly, and to be able to say things properly. Idiomatically.

The website is https://outspokenlanguage.com. You can let me know what you think here or at help@outspokenlanguage.com. If you have any problems or questions, the same applies.

I should have HSK materials for levels 3 and 4 developed in the next two weeks (I'll post here when they're done). HSK 5 and 6 are in the pipeline but will take longer due to their sheer quantity of vocabulary.

Please let me know what you think, even if it's just for the free trial. Each level has 150 vocab words, and 300+ sentences (actually, level 1 has nearly 600 sentences, as a bonus). It's $19 per set.

Also, you can browse and search all the content for free. Here is an example: https://outspokenlanguage.com/morsels/zho-cn/2a58300e9b/lets-go-drink-some-tea-this-afternoon/

Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I have had a look at your website and registered. I gave the trial version a look.

I was very impressed with your efforts. I liked the layout it was nice and clean and everything was very clear and easy to use.

I tried the first level just to see what it was like and I like the way an input method was included, makes typing characters easy for beginners.

I think the whole approach is good, using words you have learnt in sentences is a good plan.

The audio was clear and well reproduced.

If I can find time for it in my schedule towards the end of the year I may well buy a set.

Thank you for sharing.

Well done and keep up the good work.

Thanks very much for trying it, Shelley. I appreciate kind words. Do let me know if you run into any problems. Some of the pitfalls right now are that it's not a hand-holder: certainly you need to have some Chinese fundamentals before you can make good use of it. But I'm working on it, and hopefully the large amount of practice material should make up for it.

Thanks again.
