keitha Posted September 18, 2014 at 02:46 PM Report Posted September 18, 2014 at 02:46 PM Do I need a release letter after my working permit is expired? Or is it only required when you change employer or leave before the contract is finished? The reason why I ask this is because two former teachers at our training school have issues with getting the release letter (they both finished their contracts). Quote
Matty Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:54 AM Report Posted September 19, 2014 at 01:54 AM In my experience you need it even if the last job was a few years before. That being said it's usually not too hard to get if it's a respectable business and you know who to ask about it. Often you may call them and ask, they person you ask doesn't know how to do it and the message never gets forwarded on. Perhaps the trick would be finding out who at the business is in charge of visas and such and asking them for it. Quote
leeovisa Posted October 17, 2014 at 04:40 AM Report Posted October 17, 2014 at 04:40 AM The release letters are definitely required when applying for residence permits extension by changing the employers. Sometimes the schools/ companies issue the release letters to declare that there are NO relationship any longer between you and them. Quote
