crt32 Posted October 6, 2014 at 08:41 AM Report Share Posted October 6, 2014 at 08:41 AM You probably want to use the 如果...就 pattern (如果 can be omitted): http://resources.allsetlearning.com/chinese/grammar/%22If%E2%80%A6,_then%E2%80%A6%22_with_%22ruguo%E2%80%A6,_jiu%E2%80%A6%
Cici Burger Posted October 10, 2014 at 07:58 AM Report Share Posted October 10, 2014 at 07:58 AM There are many ways to use 就, 1. to emphasis things, like you will say : 这就是他。 ( This is him.), Here you use 就 to emphasis this is the person we mentioned before. 2. 如果……就……( if ……) this is the most common way you use 就 3. 一……就…… this means there are two events, and once you have ifnished event 1( put it after ”一“), you will do event 2 ( put it after "就”). eg: 我一回家就吃晚饭。 ( As soon as I get home, i have my dinner.)
