New Members Kendall恳德 Posted October 7, 2014 at 01:22 AM New Members Report Share Posted October 7, 2014 at 01:22 AM Hello all! My husband's Chinese name is 高奥林 and I am looking for a given name for myself to go with the surname 高 that also sounds like my English name! Which is Kendall. I'm debating between 坤德 and 恳德 and would love to know what you all think! Do either of these sound like real Chinese names? THANK YOU!!! Demonic_Duck Posted October 7, 2014 at 05:53 AM Report Share Posted October 7, 2014 at 05:53 AM Based on 人人网同名同姓, there are a few 坤德s (various surnames), though they're all male, which is strange as 坤 can denote 女性 (maybe it's the opposite effect of girls getting names with 男 in them because the parents were wishing for a boy? Haha...) I couldn't find any 恳德s of any surname. I've never seen 恳 used in a name before, though that's not necessarily to say it shouldn't be. aone Posted October 7, 2014 at 08:53 AM Report Share Posted October 7, 2014 at 08:53 AM How about 珂(ke1)黛(dai4)? - more feminine.
skylee Posted October 7, 2014 at 12:55 PM Report Share Posted October 7, 2014 at 12:55 PM Consider 侃德 http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php?page=worddict&wdrst=1&wdqb=%E4%BE%83%E5%BE%B7
Jay Sin Posted October 17, 2014 at 03:09 PM Report Share Posted October 17, 2014 at 03:09 PM 坤德and恳德 are all sounds like Chinese names but they're really not suitable to be a girl's names. Maybe you will want to consider about "慨冬“.
