wtanaka Posted May 15, 2005 at 02:29 PM Report Posted May 15, 2005 at 02:29 PM Does anyone know of a good set of text to learn how to type Wubi? Quote
danka Posted May 15, 2005 at 09:41 PM Report Posted May 15, 2005 at 09:41 PM I learned it from this page: http://www.yale.edu/chinesemac/wubi/xing.html I found it quite useful. Given this and a lot of practice, you will most probably make it. Quote
wtanaka Posted May 16, 2005 at 10:35 AM Author Report Posted May 16, 2005 at 10:35 AM I learned the concepts from that page as well. My question is, how did you practice? Quote
danka Posted May 16, 2005 at 01:15 PM Report Posted May 16, 2005 at 01:15 PM My practicing was not done in an organised way. Whenever I needed to type Chinese I used Wubi - painful and slow in the beginning, but now it has shaped up. Why not just take an arbitrary piece of text, your favourite novel or newspaper article, and copy it? Quote
imron Posted May 29, 2005 at 07:35 AM Report Posted May 29, 2005 at 07:35 AM For practising Wubi, you might want to check out 五笔快打. It's pretty thorough, and has support for the 3 main wubi standards (86, 98, 18030). You get a 14 day trial which should be enough to get you up to speed on the basics. Registration is only 25RMB, and then you also get access to more articles for typing, the ability to use your own articles to practise typing, as well as practise drills for 3, 4, N character combinations.
