Hi, I've been trying to translate a following sentence from Mandarin into English: Lu4shang yi1fu jiao4 yu3 gei3 lin2shi1le, Yang2 Bu4 jiu4 dao4 yi1ge peng2you na4li qu4 jie4le yi1shen1 yi1fu huan4shangle 

 

 

Here is how I've translated it:

 

"On the road (on the way) the cloth by the mean of rain got soaked,  Yang Bu then approached one friend to borrow another cloth and change into it" 

 

However, I've failed to translate words na4li and qu4 properly. Even though I know the meaning of both words: na4li "where, somewhere, anywhere" qu4 "to go", I don't understand how these words should be translated in the above sentence. I'd appreciate if someone could help me with it

For na4li: If you can read the Chinese, have a look at this, in particular

(2) 指有一定所属的处所(如家宅等),其前一般须有名词或代词加以限制

一个朋友那里 yige pengyou nali = a friend's place.

 

到...去了 dao...qu le = went to...

 

到一个朋友那里去了 dao yige pengyou nali qu le = went to a friend's place.
