anonymoose Posted October 24, 2014 at 01:39 AM Report Share Posted October 24, 2014 at 01:39 AM Clingy, but this isn't so common amongst western girls, so this word isn't used much.

tooironic Posted October 24, 2014 at 03:40 AM Report Share Posted October 24, 2014 at 03:40 AM Clingy, needy or insecure would all be OK.

歐博思 Posted October 25, 2014 at 03:59 AM Report Share Posted October 25, 2014 at 03:59 AM A girl can be clingy, but still not insecure or needy, just prefers to be around her guy vs other people.
tooironic Posted October 25, 2014 at 09:18 AM Report Share Posted October 25, 2014 at 09:18 AM It's pretty subjective though. I'd say a clingy person is someone who depends emotionally on someone else. If that isn't a symptom of insecurity or neediness I don't know what is. anonymoose Posted October 25, 2014 at 12:12 PM Report Share Posted October 25, 2014 at 12:12 PM In the same way that having a fever is a symptom of ebola, but that doesn't mean that 发烧 is "ebola" in English.
