A Frequency List for Flashcard Triage with Pleco

I've prepared a Pleco flashcard file with the words broken up into categories based on frequency. It is very easy in Pleco to add thousands of flashcards to your database, but when you go to review them it can feel like you are being buried under a mountain of flashcards. This frequency list can be used as a filter while doing flashcards help control the rate at which you study flashcards and avoid studying relatively rare words. Each category has 500 words.

This file was derived from the SUBTLEX-CH frequency list.

Usage:

Import the file into Pleco flashcard database. You will see new categories such as subtlex_500, subtlex_1000 etc.

(The subtlex_500 category contains the words ranked between 0 and 500 in frequency,  subtlex_1000 contains the words ranked from 500 up to 1000 and so on).

Create a category to use as a filter and then shift the desired subtlex categories into this filter category so that they become sub categories. On the New Test flashcard scroll down to "Card filters" and add your filter category as a "require" filter.

edit: I noticed after posting it that the frequencies I accidentally offset by 500 (so for example subtlex_500 had the words 500-1000 rather than 0 - 500). I've replaced it with a fixed version.
