Word usage difficulty...

Recommended Posts

I am using a particular english phrase for a product, and need to make sure that it is not offensive in Chinese, the word is "blabbermouth". The translation I found was "Chángshé", and it is a play on words.

Would this usage for a food product be offensive in Chinese culture?

Thank you

Thank you liuzhou for your response. The word is already done, so it is out of my control. The brand name is "blabbermouth" and cannot be changed. There is an icon that makes sense and is classy and appropriate. The hope is not to offend anyone, and the product is premium food product. The packaging is very nice as well and everything fits in the U.S.

At times some terms we use in the U.S. can mean something totally different in another country, so I don't want to cross any cultureal boundaries with the term.

Again, thank you very much for the response
