Help in finding a petrol tricycle in Beijing

Dear all

 

I know winter is coming and few people think about the great outdoors or camping right now, but even then, I need a little pet project to keep me occupied and that's something I've been thinking about for a while:

 

I want to buy one of these ubiquitous transporter tricycles and with a bit of DIY transform it into a practical, tiny camping vehicle with all you need to drive out of the city for a weekend. Now I like to start small with a very basic, preferably cheap and old tricycle to mess with, but have no idea where to find one.

 

All ideas, suggestions are very welcome.

the only advice i can give you is buy one with a 4 stroke engine and water cooled. For long distances.

Agreed XuanWu, though from my memory the ones I'm thinking about are all 4 strokes.

Hey roddy, I've moved to Europe for work reasons a couple of weeks ago. Will be back in Beijing in summer and will see what I can do then. I haven't given up on it, would still love to do it.
