配有 = 'with' or 'equipped with' or 'has' or that just depends on who is translating? Or does '配有‘ have some special not easily apparent meaning?

 

Personally I think 配有 is the contraction of '配备有‘.

 

The Taiwan dictionary which was recommended to me does not have '配有‘， nor do the other online dictionaries I usually use.

Thanks for the comments. Do you think 有多功能接口 means 1 multi-function socket, or several different sockets?

 

It is actually unlikely that it would only have one input socket.

I've never seen "ị̌" used before in a pinyin transcription in place of "ǐ". Does the dot have any particular significance (tone sandhi? Unstressed syllable?)

Underdot in Wenlin 4.0 onwards represents tone sandhi.

That strikes me as a good convention, especially for beginners. Pity it's not used elsewhere (and not easy to input...)

I have not looked at how Wenlin does it, but I suspect this is courting troubles, as strings of more than 2 consecutive third tones don't follow fixed patterns of tone-sandhi.
