pprendeville Posted November 19, 2014 at 05:45 PM Report Posted November 19, 2014 at 05:45 PM Anybody recommend some Chinese movies suitable for families? Children are 5 and under but they sat with us at the weekend and happily watched 美满人生 and seemed to enjoy it. My wife is Chinese and the kids have spent a year in China so are fluent. It's me that will have the understanding problems but I'm happy to go without subtitles. Quote
character Posted November 20, 2014 at 08:48 AM Report Posted November 20, 2014 at 08:48 AM You might try: The Monkey King Finding Mr. Right My Lucky Star Sophie's Revenge The Shoe Fairy I've not seen these, but they may be worth trying: Where Are We Going, Dad? Tale of the Rally Secret Plans Farm House II McDull: Me & My Mum (there are also several other McDull films) It may be changing, but be aware that 'family entertainment' in Asian films/TV can mean 'something for everyone' instead of 'nothing which would bother anyone' which is what it seems to be for Hollywood productions. Watching something before showing it to children is recommended. 1 Quote
