New Members Guy2036 Posted November 19, 2014 at 11:22 PM New Members Report Posted November 19, 2014 at 11:22 PM I'm actually proficient in the Japanese language, so I can part-way understand simplified Chinese. But when it comes to Traditional Chinese, I can't make heads or tails of it. The character [ 穆 ] mú is one that I'm curious about. I realise its more commonly used in Traditional Chinese and its very hard to trace. I was wondering actually if this is a real family name, and if the name has any history or possibly a family tree (whether real or from the legends), or if its a word that is used for certain things. imron Posted November 20, 2014 at 01:50 AM Report Posted November 20, 2014 at 01:50 AM 穆 is a surname, but it is pronounced Mù, not Mú. I can't speak for how common it is, and the main place I've seen it was the surname for a character in a novel. Quote
