Usually you can change the display language from Chinese to English or one of many languages. I have a Chinese tablet and the first thing I did was change it to English, it helps because i am studying Chinese and have a clue where to look.

 

There will be a language tab in the settings,  the first picture you posted seems to be the settings page, if the picture was more to the left I think you would find the language tab there and click and then choose English.

 

If you want help with this post a picture of the settings screen and i will try and help you.

I have changed the default language to English. Thank you, mikevwilliams and Shelley for your help in this regard.
