雷鬼的问题 - Question about 雷鬼

我最近知道了Reggae是用汉字雷鬼写的。我的字典里鬼有坏的意思。雷鬼是Reggae的发音，这个我知道可是中国人看雷鬼的时候想什么？你们想Reggae是坏的音乐因为是叫雷鬼的或者鬼没有问题因为Reggae室外词吗？

I recently came to know that Reggae was transcribed as 雷鬼 in Chinese and my dictionary translates 鬼 as demon, which is rather negative. I know that 雷鬼 is a phonetic transcription of Reggae but I wonder what Chinese people think when they read/hear 雷鬼. Is this music perceived as somewhat negative because its name contains the character 鬼 or do they not pay attention because they know it is a phonetic transcription of a foreign word ?

^_^,I am a Chinese.I first see the word "雷鬼".I think that most of Chinese people don't know Reggae.It is not popular in China.

And what was your feeling towards 雷鬼 when you read it? Anything negative or anything else?

I don't think it's negative because it seems that all the cool things of today have a negative aspect to them. Looking at the word 雷鬼lei2gui3 reminds me a bit of 摇滚yao2gun3 Rock 'n' Roll.
