Demonic_Duck Posted December 9, 2014 at 11:06 AM Report Share Posted December 9, 2014 at 11:06 AM Basically, it's either equivalent to “会” (for future tense), or “把”, but a bit more formal than both. I think there are other nuances, but I'm not entirely clear on what they are. At any rate, in this case it's “会”.
tooironic Posted December 9, 2014 at 11:26 PM Report Share Posted December 9, 2014 at 11:26 PM The character 将 itself has a myriad of meanings, but the two most common usages are:1) As "will", usually written as 将会. Has a formal tone. E.g. 今后几天将会是非常艰难的。("The next few days will be extremely difficult.")2) As a more formal word for 把. E.g. 将皮包放在桌子上。("Put the leather bag on the table.")
