Going to Er Wai in September ... whats there to do??

I live in Toronto right now and I'm going to study mandarin at Er Wai in September, I have lots of family in Beijing but i doubt im going to wanna hang out with them all the time. How is the social life at Er Wai?? I already got a condo but I dont think its right by the University. Can anyone tell me if commuting there is easy? I dont know how to drive so Im going to have to rely on public transit.

Also, whats fun to do in beijing??? Where are the good clubs and stuff??
