"shafa" slang meaning?

I know "shafa" is a loan word for 'sofa', but I see it sometimes in forums as if it had a slang meanin, like 'cool!' or something like that. I have no idea what...I just know it's used other than for 'sofa.'

Does "shafa" 沙发 have slang meanings?

The first person to post to a thread will sometimes add 沙发 to the post as a way of registering that they were the very first posters. Think of it as calling 'shotgun' as you're entering a car.

Possible sources: 1) sofa as the best seat in the house, 2) So Fa = sf = so fast

There's another, slightly naughty, usage for 沙发。

This one works best at the disco or KTV. When chatting up a lady friend, a guy might invite her to sit on his 真皮沙发。That is, his "real skin sofa" ie. his lap.
