If you are Cantonese and can easily read and understand Chinese characters, then why do need help? You can just write what you want to say in standard Chinese and say it in Mandarin.

He may be looking for a very colloquial 口语 way of expressing those thoughts without the 其中s and 之中s that might make him sound a bit too formal with friends.

Not sure why everyone's jumping on you for being Cantonese. As you obviously have something of a background in Chinese languages though, I'd suggest in future you post your own efforts and ask for corrections/improvements, maybe people will be more willing to help that way.

Remember, Cantonese and Mandarin are quite different on the colloquial level. For example, 少少 vs. 一點 for "a little".
