1. In the past I've done some tutoring in Beijing and Shanghai. In Shanghai, the going rate was 300 kuai per hour -- sometimes more when the lessons were for math or science. I expect the tutoring rates to be a bit lower in Nanning. Does anyone here have experience working as a tutor in Nanning and know what the average rate is there?

2. In the past I've rented one-bedroom apartments in Shanghai in the Xu Jia Hui and Shanghai Nan Zhan areas. They were all relatively nice by Chinese standards. My fiancee and I will rent a one-bedroom apartment in Nanning in early 2015. Does anyone here have a solid idea of how rent prices in Nanning compare to those in Shanghai? Should I expect to pay 75% of what I paid in Shanghai for the same quality, size, and location? 60%? 50%? I know it's probably a difficult question to answer because rent prices depend on lots of variables, but if someone who has lived in Nanning can give me a general idea of what I should expect, I would appreciate it.
