xuexiansheng Posted January 8, 2015 at 05:19 PM Report Posted January 8, 2015 at 05:19 PM I was reading the paper last weekend and came across a fascinating article about translation. It wasn't about Chinese/English, but rather Russian/English and the different translations of Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy over the years. If you are interested in translation work or if you want to understand what goes into translating a 'masterpiece' into another language you may want to check it out. It put my little translation efforts in class into perspective. Enjoy! New Translations of Tolstoy's "Anna Karenina" NOTE: The NYTimes is behind a paywall, but you get access to 5 articles a week for free and is blocked in China. 3 Quote
