drwafk Posted January 17, 2015 at 07:29 PM Report Share Posted January 17, 2015 at 07:29 PM Hello, My parent divorced when I was young and I grew up without my mother. My mother has since passed and I was left with childhood photos with chinese/taiwanese writing on the back. I've tried online tools but none work. I'd be grateful for any help in getting these translated, they may help me learn something about my early years. Thank you kindly. skylee Posted January 18, 2015 at 12:40 AM Report Share Posted January 18, 2015 at 12:40 AM The picture on the left - 妹*和小女兒. 母女同在. 多幸福. 願永遠如此! 願上帝保佑小妮子. 她太多病. 体質太弱. (Me* and little daughter. Mother and daughter together. How happy. Wish it will be like this forever! May God protect the little girl. She is often sick. Too weak.) *depending on the context, 妹 could refer to a woman herself or a younger sister.

(Little Caroline and big brother Jimmy Doesn't she look like little Nita in my* childhood?) *depending on the context 妹 could refer to a woman herself or a younger sister. PS - I couldn't recognise the word 卡 before reading the post below. Seems that 卡 is a rare word in my vocab. Haha.
Goshujinchama Posted January 18, 2015 at 01:10 AM Report Share Posted January 18, 2015 at 01:10 AM So, waiting for some expert I'll post the little I can do the first on the left (90.jpg) says: Little sister with xiao ni. mom and daughter together. so happy. wish it would be like this forever. hope God will protect xiao ni. she's often sick, her body is so weak notes: xiao ni could be "little miss"? not sure. I made up the "wish" and "hope" character, since I couldn't recognize it. The one on the right (145.jpg) "The little Caroline and her older brother Jimmy looking at her doesn't she looks like... (part missing)" picture in the middle "The one standing in the back is (dunno) the other one shot from behind is DON (missing name)" well, I guess I wasn't of any big help. let's wait for the smart guys to show up! edit: ok, they already came... but I wrote this, so I'll post it anyway
