metal.lunchbox Posted January 26, 2015 at 07:05 AM Report Posted January 26, 2015 at 07:05 AM I have a little bit of an idea about how youtube works and any questions I have exceedingly easy to answer using the power of internet searches. I want to know about similar Chinese services, like Youku. They have a ton of ads, but do the users posting videos receive any share of the ad profits. If I have a popular video on Youku, can I make money? Can you make a living as a minor Youku star? How does their system work? Quote
roddy Posted January 26, 2015 at 11:50 AM Report Posted January 26, 2015 at 11:50 AM No knowledge, but here's the relevant page. This shows you the top earning videos and members, along with some case studies. Top earner seems to have made just under Y500k in the last month, but might take you a while to get to 1.5m fans. Edit: I notice the official TED channel is shown as making Y150,000 in the last month. Quote
