@ajkihn Where Can I see my status?

I recieved a mail on may 19th that I have been pre-selected to receive an OAS/China Scholarship to pursue a (Bachelor’s Degree) in China beginning September 2015.

I have just one pre-admission letter from HUST, and I sent it to Mr. Duncan. And my question is, are the other pre-admission letters neccessary?

@seachele I taught at Chinese public schools not a university.. And while I was working for a Hangzhou lang company, the schools were in neighboring (much smaller) cities.. but people know where Hangzhou is.. They don't know where Quzhou is lol.

Was a lot of fun though!

Your status can be checked on the CSC website. Sadly, I didn't received that email although I'm going for a Master's degree. Who sent this email to you?

Btw, if they pre selected you. They probably sent a document attached for you to send when asking or pre admission letter.

Do you have an undergraduate degree in Economics? If not, what are your undergraduate degrees? I have applied to a master in quantitative economics degree in chinese but had no response. I've sent an email asking about the admission and they reply with a standard message saying "wait unitl july for the results". I believe I was not selected to Fudan.

Wow. How very discouraging...

@killa14

Congratulations on your pre - selection with the OAS  ! I may not have been as lucky but i wish you the best.

Out of curiosity what does your status say now?

@Killa14

Thanks for the information. Send the letter with the documents that the universities ask and I wish you the best.

I had a pre admission letter also from HUST. Good luck to you.

I still have some hope that probably postgraduate students haven't been notified, but it's already June 2nd...

Oh well, I must admit that I feel kind of sad, but I won't lose hope until a postgraduate student tells me "I was nominated" :P

No, I have a bcom. I also applied for an english-taught program and i have a feeling they've got completely separate admin departments for english and chinese degrees. I'm pretty much getting the same response as you, mine just says wait for the final results... so... a bit of progress but not much at the moment...

@fernandovmacedo: I have a degree in Civil Engineering (MSc) with a Construction Economics specialisation. So, not your classical economics background, per se, but still a fair bit of preparation in the field. I see you are from Brazil and intend to study in a programme that is in Chinese language, wow! Are you proficient in this language?

If you got the e-mail from Fudan about passing the 预录取 process, than you are good, you've been admitted. If they are selecting you as a candidate for their scholarship, you got admitted.

They won't be giving out scholarships to people who haven't been admitted or may not be admitted to their school.

@cinlouhou720

Did you apply to Fudan's scholarship or through the embassy? If you applied through the school, you don't need to send anything to the CSC, that's already been done. If you applied through an embassy, you might need to get some kind of proof from Fudan that you have been admitted and give it to your embassy.

I applied through the embassy so I guess I will have to contact Fudan for a pre-admin letter. I think I saw somewhere that fudan doesn't do that anymore but I will try anyways... Thanks alot!

I was panicking but I'm hopeful now that i've seen some of the masters students haven't received an email as well. How did you apply though? Through the embassy or through the University?

@Cin

You already applied to Fudan separately and got accepted, right? If you have gotten an award letter from your embassy, I believe you can contact them with the award letter attached to get a pre-admissions letter, or proof that you've already gone through their admissions process.

@tobz

Which schools did you apply to? Did you apply through an embassy or university? If you give some information, some people might be able to confirm with you about having or not having received information (every organization is different).
