@Miekgda, I really think that the safest way to confirm you haven´t been accepted is to get this information from your embassy or from the universities you applied for. Otherwise, the whole process is extremely silent and you can easily get mislead. For example, the majority of those who applied for the "EU Window" and found themselves on the Scholarship list did not know ANYTHING about the result/university until... a couple of days ago.

@shinigami I´ve seen you are going to Hangzhou, that was one of my choices, congrats! Where are you from? (I´m trying to build a conceptual map of the "EU Window" packages recipients).

@Tumi You should expect a call from your embassy on friday or before. Good luck.

To those still waiting, dont give up there's still time.

Any applicant from AFRICA who has applied through embassy? I'm from Cameroon and I'll very soon die from this standby period....

Congrats to those already selected!!!

stanislasdecourbel Im South African most African embassies will give the application documents between 29th July - 5th August. But you can call the chinese embassy in your country to clarify.

I got through to the embassy thez told me on phone I am accepted, but I still need to see the papers to be 100% sure.

Fingers corssed for all the others, the guy told me that many embassies already know, but they send the packages with post in the end of July :)

@miekgda yeah I'm less stressed but I won't feel 100% good until papers are in hand.. I'm sure you've got it if they told you though!

I always wanted to see Poland.. a good chuck of my genetic makeup is of Polish origin.. I've been told I look Polish too! hahah I don't know much about those roots though.

Anyway.. congrats!! I'm sure you'll be fine!

@DongLian

That is exactly what I was feeling after the call haha

Poland is relatively cheap for Europe, so buy the ticket and come :)

I will keep you posted, now I can finally read the Fudan instruction for prospetive students.

Also a tip for those who applied from the embassy, if your Uni participated in the process (sending paper, getting mail), be sure to check up there, as my friend from Slovakia was just informed that the papers were there for 4 days but the lady was on vacation...

@tobz Thank you so much. I contated the embassy in Botswana and they said that they are going to publish the names on their website tomorrow so yeah....FINGERS CROSSED! by the way, which universities did you apply to?

@stanislasdecourbel----> RIGHT HERE

Called the french embassy.

They haven't published the results yet on the website, I don't know if they have them but the person I had asked me if I got any email and told me to call someone else (who is in charge of the scolarships, but didn't answer).

So I am not sure if he knew something or not, but for those who applied in France and didn't get any email, maybe you can start worrying. :)

I just have one question. I didn't apply through the embassy, I applied through the head office in Washington DC. Do I have to depend on the embassy in my country for the results or will the results be released on the OAS website.

@tumi , @tobz

For which uni did you guys apply for? I did receive an admission letter from SCUT (which was not among my tree choices). Have you ever heard about someone being recommanded by the embassy and finally not granted with a scholarship by the CSC Council?...

Any news from your respectives embassies?

Good luck to you guys !!!

For those who applied through the embassy at Washington, DC, call Ms. Guan at 202-243-1164 and ask about the results from CSC. She will ask if you got an email from her and most likely no. She will then ask you to email her your address. From there, she will send the letter to you.

@gretoverno

What do you mean "head office"? The D.C. office IS the Embassy or are you referring to something else? When you say "my country" what country is that if not the USA?

@Clef Ment

This morning I got an email from the embassy, so yeah French students who haven't got it.... Call them asap.

Congrats everyone who got the scholarship ! :)

What I mean is that I've been reading constantly about released results in this thread and these people all contacted their embassy, or were waiting patiently on their embassy. While me on the other hand, although I got the scholarship information from my government's website (I'm from the Caribbean) I followed the instructions as were on this website and the downloadable documents, because my governments website had no instructions:
http://www.oas.org/en/scholarships/china.asp

and Fedex 'ed my package straight to the Washington Embassy/Head Office/ OAS Office to Miguel Duncan and Co. So my confusion now is that, should I be waiting for the results to be posted here... :

http://www.oas.org/en/scholarships/default.asp

Or would they be sent to the Chinese Embassy in my country.

Also, although I am from the Caribbean, I am currently residing in Asia. Thanks for reading and replying to my post, sorry if I made it more confusing
