New Members skrub_wreker420 Posted February 6, 2015 at 03:35 AM New Members Report Share Posted February 6, 2015 at 03:35 AM So our school just got these Chinese exchange students and I like Asian culture so I decided to friend one. We were messing around in class and he wrote some paragraph in Chinese. I attatched a picture below. Can anyone translate this? I sharpened the image as much as I could. Thanks. skylee Posted February 6, 2015 at 06:24 AM Report Share Posted February 6, 2015 at 06:24 AM Is the writer Chinese? His handwriting is poor, and he does not write well. There are some mistakes (like the third person pronoun) in the paragraph. I use the traditional script. The script may look different from what is on the paper (which is the simplified script), but it is the same Chinese. Gist - In China there are many good students. They are not afraid of difficulties and have come to America. Although they are here to learn, actually they have come to see the world. Because they can't understand the language. They can only sit there, and after a while they feel sleepy. So they can understand nothing. They find the mathematics taught in America very easy. And then there is History, which is hard to understand. But they (Americans) are only 200 years old. (Not sure what the last bit is about - heavy book or something.)

maomao2014 Posted February 9, 2015 at 04:21 PM Report Share Posted February 9, 2015 at 04:21 PM I think the last sentence means, although America has only 200 years of history, the history book is heavy.
