Need Help, Need Someone that Speaks Chinese to Make a Call for Me if Possible Please

I am not sure if this is appropriate to post in this particular forum, so please move it if needed.

I added international calling to my cell and called, however, the two gals that I talked with had very limited English (and of course I cannot speak Chinese) and did not understand what I was asking for or saying. :-(

I was wondering if someone on here would try calling for me (with the corrected number in the post: Country code of China - 86, Area code of Guangzhou - (0)20 (drop the first zero unless you are in China), So you dial +86 20 83799438, PS - if you are in the US and using a fixed line instead of a mobile, then it is 011 86 20 83799438).

I would really, really appreciate it and would pay you for your time and the cost of the phone call if applicable.

I basically need to know the following:

1) Do they still do custom tailored clothes?

2) If so, do they use or can they use raw/heavy silk for women's suits/clothing. (You can let them know that my friend used to have them make clothes for her 20+ years ago.)

3) If they do #1 and #2 (or even just #1), is there anyone I can speak to in English?

4) If so, please get their direct number and/or email address.

I just called them.

 

Good news: They do #1 and #2.

Bad news: They have someone who speaks English but wouldn't give me his/her phone number. The reason they gave was that this person who spoke English didn't know the business, which I take with a pinch of salt. They didn't give me their email address either, saying that they would have to check their emails at home.

 

Anyway, the lady I talked with was very polite (though she didn't give me what I was after), and said that it would be best if you could come over and discuss details with them. Here is their address:

PS: I guess the reason she didn't give me the phone number and email address was that they are a pretty small firm and doesn't have any in-house translator/interpreter. I am not sure. Maybe, you can ask your friend about this.

Thank you soooooooooooooooooooo much for making the call for me. I really appreciate it.

 

It sounds like they are small and not set up for "e-commerce" at all. My friend used to visit them in person, traveling with her husband on business trips, but is unable to do so now.

 

I have a possible other avenue to pursue with regard to the clothes she wants so I will try that now that I know that this is not going to work. I just wanted to make absolutely sure first.
