Stoutcat Posted February 15, 2015 at 07:06 PM Report Posted February 15, 2015 at 07:06 PM Friends, I came across a small (1 1/2" x 1 1/4") old-ish medallion or pendant with a silver horse and a green enamel background on the front, and characters of some sort on the back. I'm no expert, that's for sure, so I'm guessing they may be Chinese, and have come here in the hope of getting them translated. Or at least some advice as to where else I might look for the information. Photos attached of front, back and close-up of the text. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Quote

Stoutcat Posted February 16, 2015 at 07:34 PM Author Report Posted February 16, 2015 at 07:34 PM Many thanks, that is great information. I used the [han portrait brick horse] search terms and came up with many images of that horse! Is it possible that this could be a pendant or medallion for one of the years of the horse? Also, is there any significance to the reference to brick? I don't really see anything reminiscent of brick in the image, just the horse and the green enamel background. Quote
