a difficult sentence for me, did I translate it correctly?

大家羊年快乐。万事如意!

 

The sentence was in a text about KFC. I found it a bit difficult. Did I get somewhere close, or totally wrong?

 

而 对于 每年 在 餐厅销售和 管理 上出色 完成 公司 “冠军检测” 考核 要求 的 餐厅经理,公司 都 会 给予 特别 礼遇。

and regarding every year in restaurant sales and management in

 

 

。。出色 。。完成 。公司。。。 “冠军检测” 。。。考核。。 要求 。的。 餐厅。。经理,

outstanding fulfill company “champion selection” appraisal demands restaurant manager

 

公司 。。都 。会。 给予。 特别 。礼遇。

company all will accord special courtesy.

 

The winner of the company's annual outstanding manager “champion's selection”, the manager who fulfills the sales and management appraisal demands, will be afforded a special courtesy.

It's not a competition so there are no winners. And 出色 refers to 完成 not 經理 (outstandingly fulfill, not outstanding manager competition).

It is similar to an exam, students who pass with high marks (ie. outstandingly fulfill requirements) still wouldn't be 'winners' of the exam.

Additionally, we don't 檢測 people, so 冠軍檢測 is not referring to a selection of champions among managers.

检测 comes from 检验测试, examine and test. You measure some attribute of an object and compare against some metric to evaluate the object's quality. While both "我檢驗他" and "我測試他" sounds okay, you don't hear "我檢測他" in Chinese, perhaps because you can't just measure a person and then assign him a simple score of his 品質.

Googling "肯德基" "冠军检测" turns out that it is probably this. Not sure it is CHAMPS, CHAMPSCHECK, or CHAMPIONS, anyway it's buzzword-ised -- there's no mention of sales 销售 in the word.
