wushucrab20 Posted March 17, 2015 at 02:41 AM Report Posted March 17, 2015 at 02:41 AM There is a website called chineseclass101.com . If you sign up the lessons and everything are free for one month. You could make some progress quickly with it if you put the time into it. The most useful feature is that each of the lessons aside from having a narrated lesson, have the dialogues broken down by sentences that can be listened to repeatedly just by clicking on the icon beside each line. It is great for listening comprehension and imitating spoken language. Quote

Shelley Posted March 17, 2015 at 06:01 PM Report Posted March 17, 2015 at 06:01 PM Hello and welcome to the forums. Do you do anything else? Do you attend classes or is just self study? I would suggest following a text book. I like and use New Practical Chinese Reader, this has a text book, workbook, videos on Youtube and audio mp3s. It all works very well together. I would also suggest getting Pleco if you have a smart phone or tablet. This is very useful. Not only is it a very good dictionary it also does flashcards and much more. See here https://www.pleco.com/ You can try the free version but it is well worth paying for the full version.. For writing practice Hanzi Grids are very good - http://www.hanzigrids.com/ If your budget can manage it then Skritter is very useful - http://www.skritter.com/ Quote
New Members han2015 Posted March 19, 2015 at 01:15 AM New Members Report Posted March 19, 2015 at 01:15 AM After listening a audio, mark the keywords and draft the outline of the passage, and then try to retell the passage yourself with the outline. I think this will be more helpful for speaking & listening. Quote
