study kungfu in China...what a novel idea

I practice Wing Chun every morning at, since 2004, in my flat in Xi'An. An entire room is dedicated to Wing Chun. I train the three hand forms, the butterfly swords (or knifes) form, the dummy and the dragon pole. Although, the latter I only train for the sake of shaping a firm stance.

I began Wing Chun in 1998 in Belgium. Since 2004 I live in Xi'An, near Jiaotong University. It has been a pain in the ass to find a Wing Chun school in Xi'An and even other Wing Chun practitioners. Ironic is that my girlfriend did Wing Chun for one year in 2003, but than she lost interest and our Swiss flatmate was a Wing Chun practitioner before we met, and I even trained for one year with him. He also lost interest. Not because of me :-), but they are just not considering Wing Chun as an important part of their life. Wing Chun to me is a primary need; like eating, sleeping, sex, brushing your teeth :-), etc.

I was a student of Victor Kan and Wang Kiu, thus I was taught the "classic Ving Tsun" (is M. Kan's Cantonese transcription) and the "modern Wing Chun". Needless to say that Wing Chun is "classic" in the sense of pure. It should be taught in a pure sense. The student is responsible for his own development, since every person is different in weakness and strength.

Ok, enough chatter about myself and what I think! What I am looking for is someone to train with. Best would be someone who practices the art or another kind of kungfu like Hunggar, Tai Chi, Eagle Claw, etc and is interested in exchanging styles.

Additionally I practice Eagle Claw, Tai Chi fan, and yin-style Tai chi (as qigong compensation for Wing Chun).

But most importantly: I need someone to train CHISAO with, because this is the most important Wing Chun exercise and it can't be done with the wooden dummy.

If someone is interested in Xi'An, let me know. Probably it will last until next Chinese New Year, because I am planning to move to Shenzhen or Hongkong (at last Wing Chun paradise) for work.
