Checking if this translation is correct?

I made a post about this a few days ago, but it seems like it hasn't gone through!

I am writing a story featuring a Chinese American character who chooses a name for herself. The name she chooses is "Hurricane". However, I think it would make more sense for her to use the Chinese word for Hurricane.

I have googled and I think 飓风 is the best translation, but I'd like to double check with someone who actually speaks the language!

And if so, is Jùfēng a good transliteration of that?

Thanks for your help!

飓风 certainly means hurricane. Is it good as a name?

Nickname maybe. It would never be a real Chinese name.

Thank you very much! And it's intended to be more of a nickname, yes.
