kdavid Posted April 20, 2015 at 05:20 PM Report Posted April 20, 2015 at 05:20 PM Looking for an adequate translation for an academic article. I currently have "veneration for the way of the teacher," but open to better. Ideas? Quote
Tiana Posted April 22, 2015 at 07:01 AM Report Posted April 22, 2015 at 07:01 AM "Veneration for the way of the teacher" sounds like something taken out of an old book translated from Chinese, and would therefore be suitable for certain context of use. And so, this is what I'd say: the basic meaning of 师道尊严 is "respect for the teacher/ respect for the teaching profession" and you'll have to rephrase this to suit the context you intend to use it for. Since we don't have the context here, I doubt we'd be able to come up with anything appropriate for your use. 2 Quote
