Hi there, I was wondering if anybody here could help me out.

This local business recently went under, and the owners have posted the following Chinese note on the door:

二二七析明月攸
玉人何夕上舞釗滯

I am of course do not know Chinese, and all efforts to translate it via Google etc have come up with semi-random gibberish.

The first 3 characters read "227", but then it goes weird from there.  "Analysis", "Jade Emperor", and "stagnation" are about all that I can make from it.

Anyone here know what it says?

Thanks so much.

I'm wondering if you typed wrong with the  "二二七析明月攸 玉人何夕上舞釗滯" ,there's no such a verse.

I am certain the transcription is correct.

I'm not so sure. The transcription in your post is not exactly what is in the photo.

Not sure how you came to being "certain" about the transcription when your second line doesn't even have the right number of characters.

Anyway, it's classical Chinese. I can't make too much sense of it.

"I am certain the transcription is correct."

Sort of wasting everyone's time here with that sort of attitude. Especially when you are not in fact correct.

Nonetheless, you won't be ridiculed anywhere:  与任何处无见笑

What did the shop sell or do before it closed down? Might be a clue, might not.

The shop was a gas station/restaurant.

As for wasting everyone's time here, if I was trying to do that would I have bothered with the picture of the text in question?

I appreciate everyone's input.

二二七桥明月夜,玉人何处舞剑潇

Actually it doesn't make sense to me, maybe it a riddle or puns; but it does remind me of a poem

《寄扬州韩绰判官》 by [唐] 杜

青山隐隐水迢迢,秋尽江南草未凋。

二十四桥明月夜玉人何处教吹箫
