lukey296 Posted May 6, 2015 at 01:53 PM Report Posted May 6, 2015 at 01:53 PM Ok I'm really having trouble with this. I can't go onto asiatorrents because I need an invite and I heard from this forum that emule is still a viable option for downloading shows. (I'm doing this just to make anki sentences with audio via subs2srs) Can somebody please explain how to use verycd, as in where to click and whatnot. I understand and read chinese fairly well but still can't figure it out. Then what about where to download subtitles? I've searched through emule directly and that seems ok, but verycd or other options I'm really not sure. Shooter.cn seems to be back online at sub.makedie.me but the search doesn't seem to be working (it was the other day). Anyway I suck at using computer software in general and some guidance would be greatly appreciated. I just want to try out what looks like a very effective technique for learning vocabulary. Cheers, Luke Quote
ChTTay Posted May 7, 2015 at 12:04 AM Report Posted May 7, 2015 at 12:04 AM I don't think you can these days. The site just links you to streaming services. Usually popular shows have more than one choice of streamer which you can pick with a drop down menu. Within the streaming service apps you can download some TV within the app though. This probably isn't what you're after. Quote
tysond Posted May 8, 2015 at 07:50 AM Report Posted May 8, 2015 at 07:50 AM You can get lots of content via Youku and other streaming services and even download mp4s or flvs. But for full movies, asiatorrents is the best option really. I have enough points to give you an invite. PM me. But you have to pay it forward and help someone else in future who wants access. Also only use for educational purposes :-) Quote
imron Posted May 8, 2015 at 08:53 AM Report Posted May 8, 2015 at 08:53 AM Shooter.cn seems to be back online I've been using subhd.com since shooter went down, and quite like it. Quote
lukey296 Posted May 11, 2015 at 03:15 AM Author Report Posted May 11, 2015 at 03:15 AM Wow thanks so much everyone, really helpful stuff. Imron, I'm checking out subhd.com right now and it looks great! For anyone interested in downloading tv shows from youku/youtube then download iskysoft itube studio. It's really fast. Something I didn't realise before as well is that youtube actually has a great collection of chinese soaps. Quote
lukey296 Posted May 12, 2015 at 12:55 AM Author Report Posted May 12, 2015 at 12:55 AM However, I am having some trouble finding separate subtitles for Chinese TV shows to download. Im assuing this is because it's largely unnecessary as the subs are already built in and the audio is also Chinese! Where do you guys usually download Chinese subs for TV shows? Quote
