歐博思 Posted May 9, 2015 at 11:34 AM Report Posted May 9, 2015 at 11:34 AM Is there a website out there which groups example sentences by topic, for example: getting a haircut, sports words, buying movie tickets, etc? Quote
Qiaonansen Posted May 9, 2015 at 01:06 PM Report Posted May 9, 2015 at 01:06 PM 欧博思, Knowing what you want to do with the site would help me direct you better. However, in the meantime, try out this site: http://jukuu.com/ Type in a word and you will be provided with dozens of sentences. Quote

歐博思 Posted May 10, 2015 at 11:40 AM Author Report Posted May 10, 2015 at 11:40 AM I've used Jukuu, but that searches only individual words and phrases. What I want is like the old Nciku 'example sentences by topic' feature like I mentioned in the first post. I suppose what I want is like Jukuu, but with example sentences pre-grouped by topic. Like this maybe I will come across a topic or situation which I hadn't even considered before and can learn many things at once. I'm guessing you hadn't used Nciku prior to the handover, and maybe that's why my question wasn't clear. Thanks to #3 for your link. For now I may have to rely on 什麽什麽詞彙. Or possibly try Glossika. Qiaonansen Posted May 10, 2015 at 03:16 PM Report Posted May 10, 2015 at 03:16 PM I miss NCIKU as well. It's a sad loss for sure. Have you seen this print resource? It has vocabulary, sentences, and dialogs based on topics, such as sports and travel. If you are currently in China, you should be able to get them at any foreign language bookstore. http://www.amazon.com/Talk-Chinese-Series-Communicative-MP3/dp/7802002265 Quote
