thekingchua Posted May 13, 2015 at 11:59 AM Report Share Posted May 13, 2015 at 11:59 AM Ni Hao! Im here to ask on who can teach me how to send letter mails to someone in HongKong from here in the Philippines. Its because I would like to contact our relative there named Tan Kim Ching(i dont know if thats the correct spelling). And I would also like to know if he is still living there and also try to have or close kinship with our relative there because last time my Angkong and Ahma went there, it was still in the 1980's and after that my Angkong tried to go back there but there were some problems in his business so he never went back to Hongkong and also in Fujian. So please, if someone out their is kind enough to teach me how to mail to Hongkong, I would really be happy. Thank you
anonymoose Posted May 13, 2015 at 12:09 PM Report Share Posted May 13, 2015 at 12:09 PM Buy an envelope and some paper. Write the letter on the paper, and then fold it up and put it into the envelope, and seal the envelope. If the envelope is pre-gummed, you can do this by licking the gum and folding it shut. If not, then you may need to use glue or sticky tape. Then write the name and address of the person you want to send it to on the front of the envelope. Take the envelope to the post office and say you want to send it to Hong Kong. The post office clerk will tell you the tariff. You then need to purchase a stamp for said amount, and stick the stamp to the top right-hand corner of the envelope. Then drop the envelope into a postbox. There will probably be a postbox at the post office. If in doubt, the post office clerk should be able to help you. It's quite easy once you've done it a couple of times. Good luck.
