Qiaonansen Posted May 17, 2015 at 06:01 PM Report Posted May 17, 2015 at 06:01 PM Greetings Folks, I'm trying to download a full set of Yuwen textbooks from grade 1 on. They used to be available at the link below. However, it seems that they are no longer available at that site. Does anyone know where I might be able to find these? http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/45397-eh-resources-of-how-to-learn-chinese-with-textbooks-of-primary-school-and-middle-school-eh-in-order/ Quote
edelweis Posted May 17, 2015 at 07:36 PM Report Posted May 17, 2015 at 07:36 PM I just tried and had no problem downloading... Quote
Qiaonansen Posted May 18, 2015 at 12:09 AM Author Report Posted May 18, 2015 at 12:09 AM edelweis, Where are you downloading from? It doesn't work for me. The only thing it let's me download is an .exe file, which is a program that likely contains some bloat or malware. Not sure I want to install that. Please advise. Quote
ChTTay Posted May 18, 2015 at 03:00 AM Report Posted May 18, 2015 at 03:00 AM I just downloaded this without a problem. You sure you're not clicking on the wrong links? It's a 7zip file. Quote
edelweis Posted May 18, 2015 at 06:30 AM Report Posted May 18, 2015 at 06:30 AM yes, a 7z file from some Chinese online storage space. I am using firefox on Linux, perhaps on Windows they want you to install their desktop program... Quote
Qiaonansen Posted May 18, 2015 at 12:37 PM Author Report Posted May 18, 2015 at 12:37 PM Thanks for your help. It just isn't happening for me. Would someone here mind putting the zip file in a dropbox and sending me the link? Or, post the link here for a day until I get them downloaded? Regards, Jonathan Quote
edelweis Posted May 18, 2015 at 05:38 PM Report Posted May 18, 2015 at 05:38 PM When it asks whether you want fast or regular download, click on regular (普通) on the right side. Fast download requires installing a program, regular download just goes through your web browser. Quote
etm001 Posted May 25, 2015 at 06:04 AM Report Posted May 25, 2015 at 06:04 AM I read this too late - the files are not longer available for download. Quote
taliceuh Posted May 25, 2015 at 12:38 PM Report Posted May 25, 2015 at 12:38 PM Hello there, as the download files are not available for downloading again, can any of you upload it again please? thanks in advance:) Quote
edelweis Posted May 26, 2015 at 05:34 PM Report Posted May 26, 2015 at 05:34 PM Sorry folks, I deleted the file. The textbooks are available on the PEP website, and I have no use for the rest. But I'm sure Qiaonansen won't mind putting the zip file in a dropboxsince he finally downloaded the file.[edit]I mean, of course, that I deleted the downloaded file from my own computer only. Quote

Messidor Posted June 15, 2015 at 02:56 PM Report Posted June 15, 2015 at 02:56 PM If you guys mean the 语文 textbooks the primary/middle school students use in China, maybe I can help to send emails or try to upload (may fail uploading) some files. 1 Quote

Messidor Posted June 15, 2015 at 04:24 PM Report Posted June 15, 2015 at 04:24 PM I forgot to confirm... are the textbooks you want the People's Education Press 's version? there are quite a few versions of 语文 textbooks in China, say the 苏教版(version used in Jiangsu procince) and 粤教版(used in Guangdong province). PEP version is the "national" one... 1 Quote
taliceuh Posted June 15, 2015 at 05:30 PM Report Posted June 15, 2015 at 05:30 PM Oh that sound awesome! Thanks Messidor!! I'd like the PEP version if possible. As Edelweis said they are available to download on PEP website but I haven't found them. I only found parts of the books with only a couple of pages. Quote
Messidor Posted June 16, 2015 at 12:40 PM Report Posted June 16, 2015 at 12:40 PM http://pan.baidu.com/s/1c0dJcSo the PEP version: primary school ---- 12 textbooks + 12 videos (in 6 files) ; middle school ---- 6 textbooks ; senior school ---- 5 textbooks + 13 books for reading. also several SWFs teaching basic pronunciation there's also a file of 12 primary school textbooks in Jiangsu Province version 2 Quote
taliceuh Posted June 16, 2015 at 07:44 PM Report Posted June 16, 2015 at 07:44 PM Wow! That's much more than I could expect. Thank you really much! I almost finished to download everything now and I was checking the books. That's exactly those I was looking for! 1 Quote
etm001 Posted June 17, 2015 at 03:51 AM Report Posted June 17, 2015 at 03:51 AM @messidor, thank you for posting these files. I am located outside of mainland China, and unfortunately the download speed is quite slow. If you can keep the files available for a little while, that would be great. (At the current speed, it will take multiple days for me to download all the files). Thanks! Quote
etm001 Posted June 18, 2015 at 09:58 AM Report Posted June 18, 2015 at 09:58 AM Has anyone successfully downloaded the video files from outside of mainland China? I was able to download the PDFs, but the transfers for the video files are either painfully slow or fail due to errors. Quote
