StChris Posted June 22, 2015 at 01:31 PM Report Share Posted June 22, 2015 at 01:31 PM There are a few of these kind of programmes around (once a week, 45 minutes long, going into depth on a single issue), but what makes this one unique (as far as I know) is that as well as the usual Chinese subtitles, it also includes English ones too. What I normally do is to stick a post-it note on the bottom of my screen to block out the English and only uncover it when I think I need some help (too tempting otherwise). It covers a pretty diverse range of geopolitical topics. Just glancing down the list of their most recent episodes I can see that they've covered the crisis in the Ukraine, Indian-Chinese relations, the earthquake in Nepal, the fighting in Myanmar, Saudi Arabia's vital position in the Middle East, and America's reaction to being overtaken economically by China (on the basis of PPP figures). http://tv.cntv.cn/videoset/C17609/page/1
