Can someone help me, please?

大家好！我是一个中国妈妈，我通过讲绘本的方式教我的宝宝学英语。我感觉有些绘本用词简单却很难理解（特别是Phonics这一类），本想在学中文论坛中找一些朋友，我帮对方学中文，对方帮我较正一些简单英语。但是我错了，你们的中文学得真好，我觉得你们大概不需要我的帮助，不过我还是试着发贴，希望能有热心的朋友帮我指出这些句子翻译的错误之处。不胜感激！
以下是其中一本：
 
Hi! I am a Chinese. I teach my daughter English by reading picture books. But some sentences are quite hard to understand, especially the Phonics books. I would have liked to find some friends who can help me with the translation, and I would help him/her with Chinese learning here. But I was wrong. Your Chinese is so good that you may not need my help. However, I still hope that some of you can help me correct the translations. Thanks a lot!

Your translation seems OK - it's not really a passage that can be translated very well, because it's all about playing with words

 

E.g. duck, fish, see/saw - but your translation shows you got this already. If you just want to be sure that you are explaining the meaning, I think you've got it, but often the meaning isn't really important:

 

"I see, you saw

No, I see, you saw"

 

There's little point looking for the right translation for this, the author is just having fun with the word seesaw.

 

I certainly wouldn't worry about the grammar here, or try to map 'see' and 'saw' into Chinese

While you can indeed translate such a sentence into Chinese it's practically impossible to do so and preserve the word play which is the whole point of the sentence. Pretty much like trying to translate a 相声 routine into English.

Wow what a confusing little book for kids, I know some adults learning English who would have problems with this. If I got shown something similar in Chinese when I was at beginner level I would have cried.

 

I would choose a different book, and leave that one till much later on.

I was all mixed up. I just though “I saw”（过去式） must come before “I see”（现在时）. Haha..

As it is a Phonics book, meaning isn't important, no need to save it for later.

The main point of such books are teaching the learner to relate the spelling and the sound of the words. So just learn it like a children's song. I'm sure most people have experience with songs we learned to sing by exposure, without giving much thought into the meaning of their lyrics.

Of course, being able to explain it is fine, but there's no need to stick to it until you completely understand every nuance of the text.

I got some more sentences. They are not in Phonics book, but I still can't understand them.

What does "land" mean, please? Doesn't it mean 着陆？

 

 

 

Zong Zi taste so good. 

Isn't it "Zong Zi tastes so good"? It is a book written in collaboration with Chinese and American.

 

 

Older brother thinks he knows the rules to hide-and-seek. But little sister has her own idea of how to play.  The older brother said, “Now, you cut that out!” What does it mean, please?

That's fine. While zongzi can be singular or plural in English, depending on context, this particular construction takes a plural noun: "Pancakes taste good." Compare "This pancake tastes good."

Ah yes 889 forgotten to take that into account, Didn't think of them in the plural.

'Cut that out' means 'Stop that', typically said when someone is doing something annoying: a child who is whining, your friend who keeps teasing you, things like that.

 

I think if the zongzi sentence is about one zongzi, singular, it should read 'A zongzi tastes good' or 'This zongzi tastes good' or something. You can also see that it's plural in the next sentence: 'We made them ourselves.' Also note that 粽子 should be written 'zongzi', not 'Zong Zi'. 'Zong Zi' sounds like the name of some wise old man, a colleague of 孔子 perhaps.

For zongzi sentence, it seams I bought a book with some grammatical errors. It must be written only by Chinese.

 

For the word “land”,if it means 着陆，what about the whole sentence?

“飞行员驾着滑翔机跳进风中“or ”飞行员就着风势让滑翔机着陆“?
