reuven Posted July 8, 2015 at 08:35 PM Report Share Posted July 8, 2015 at 08:35 PM Mandarin Weekly is a free newsletter that I publish every Monday, containing the best resources I've found about learning Chinese. I just published issue #25 earlier this week; you can take a look at http://MandarinWeekly.com/, which contains back issues and allows you to sign up to receive it in your mailbox. Each issue is also mentioned on our Twitter feed, @MandarinWeekly. Each issue contains about 15 links to blog posts, articles, resources, products, and videos that I believe will help people improve their Chinese. I read through about 100 blogs and sites each week to find the best resources. If you're learning Chinese, then I think that Mandarin Weekly will save you time, and point you to resources you might have missed. I have personally been studying Chinese for a year, and this newsletter is my way to turn my obsession into something productive, positive, and from which others can benefit. I'm always on the lookout for new and interesting sites to include in my collection, as well as resources I might have missed. Feel free to post them here, or to send me e-mail at reuven@lerner.co.il. Reuven
liuwenhao Posted July 12, 2015 at 05:16 AM Report Share Posted July 12, 2015 at 05:16 AM Great resource -- it reminds me of Android Weekly (which I also subscribe to). Keep up the good work!

imron Posted November 10, 2015 at 08:32 AM Report Share Posted November 10, 2015 at 08:32 AM Merged. @reuven you might want to have a read of our guidelines for commercial posters. In particular, posts like #3 above (that essentially say nothing but visit my website) are unlikely to be approved in the future.
reuven Posted November 10, 2015 at 08:57 AM Author Report Share Posted November 10, 2015 at 08:57 AM Ah, sorry about that -- I figured that since it was a free service, it didn't matter. But I see that your guidelines for commercial posters specifically say that "commercial" can mean free, as well! (It never occurred to me that this my apply to me; I should have looked more carefully.)
Angelina Posted November 10, 2015 at 09:09 AM Report Share Posted November 10, 2015 at 09:09 AM Even if your services are free, you can still make money out of ads, thus your website is commercial. Plus, it is .com, not .org .edu.
roddy Posted November 10, 2015 at 11:19 AM Report Share Posted November 10, 2015 at 11:19 AM We don't care what your .tld is, or if you make any money at all or not - it's more about if you're here to participate in the community, or to promote something that's *yours* - the promotion is welcome within limits, but as you can imagine there are a lot of people who'd like to do it on a daily basis, so... Do we have any subscribers? Anyone want to recommend it?
DachZanz Posted November 11, 2015 at 04:46 AM Report Share Posted November 11, 2015 at 04:46 AM I subscribed a while back! I enjoy your newsletter quite a bit, Reuven. I don't check it every week, usually just when I have free time, but it's a nice collection of different resources. A good balance of stuff for beginners and intermediate, I even think advanced learners could check some of the links. This is how I learned there are a lot more Chinese blogs than I ever thought.
imron Posted November 11, 2015 at 05:42 AM Report Share Posted November 11, 2015 at 05:42 AM It never occurred to me that this my apply to me Hence the friendly reminder, rather than just deleting the post As roddy mentioned, the basic gist of it is that we want people here to participate in the forums, not just promote themselves or their own products/services.
