I currently have an overdraft on my bank account after just leaving uni. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on whether this will be an issue when applying for a visa? I couldn't see anything on the government websites but I know certain countries only issue visas if you have a certain amount of money in your account. Thanks! Quote
abcdefg Posted July 14, 2015 at 01:19 AM Report Posted July 14, 2015 at 01:19 AM What country are you from/what passport do you carry? Might differ from place to place, but no financial information was requested when I applied for and received a China tourist (L) visa from the USA in December of 2014. Quote
ChTTay Posted July 14, 2015 at 01:23 AM Report Posted July 14, 2015 at 01:23 AM A bank statement is not usually a requirement when applying for a Z visa. You would need to have some money when you first arrive and for that first month. You'd normally be paid at the end of the first month then every month after that. If you're short on cash you may be able to get an advance. Quote
