New Members JonSheph Posted July 21, 2015 at 08:05 PM New Members Report Posted July 21, 2015 at 08:05 PM My Chinese teacher gave me a name when I started his course at the beginning of this year, but I really hate it and, as I'm going to be spending a term next year in Beijing, I'm looking for a new one that suits me better. I've come up with a few ideas, but it would be really great if you could tell me if any sound better than the others, or if they all sound terrible. Also, it would be preferable if they aren't easily mispronounced as something bad: 寻 炫珈 金 秋森金 秋林金 秋史史 娟程金 尘炫 Thank you! Quote

And I'm not exactly going for a name similar to my English one, just the initials – J C S (not not necessarily in that order!) – but I'm flexible if something sounds better. I picked 寻, 金 and 史 because I liked the meanings and they have an 'S' sound like my surname. Quote
