Flickserve Posted July 27, 2015 at 06:24 PM Report Posted July 27, 2015 at 06:24 PM Quite randomly, I found a short video on Viki.com called "Beijing Love story". (It's a series of short films). I really like the storyline of this one and the "Qingdao Love Story". For the Beijing Love story, I found I couldn't discern quite a lot of words, even with the Chinese subtitles. I want to analyse individual sentences further. It would be much more convenient to download it on to my computer and listen to each sentence a zillion times. Also, I could ask teachers how to understand some Beijing mumbling. I tried a video grabber addon in Firefox. But all I managed to download were the advertisments that start just before the video. Any ideas on how to download from Viki.com. Quote
eslang Posted July 29, 2015 at 04:47 AM Report Posted July 29, 2015 at 04:47 AM FWIW, the video files (TV Dramas) are available at Youku with Chinese (hard-subtitles) at well. http://www.youku.com/show_page/id_z698808b40a7e11e097c0.html If the English (or other foreign) subtitles are not required, then the video files on Youku should be alright. Just google or search online for Youku / Tudou downloader, there should be quite a few softwares that can get the video files. EDIT : film version 北京爱情故事_电影版 is also available at Youku with both English and Chinese (hard-subtitles). Quote
