Free 2nd Hand Books (in Beijing)

Recommended Posts

Around two years ago I saw a message posted by JustinJJ that he was leaving Beijing and had some books that he would give out to anyone who could collect them. I picked a few up and felt at the time that I would do the same.

Well, I am preparing to leave China so it's time to pass it on.

I have accrued quite a few books whilst out here so I will make a list below. Some have already gone to friends here but there are still a significant amount. I will be leaving on Monday so this weekend would probably be best for pick up. I live in Chaoyang District - close to Hujialou subway on line 10.

If you would like anything you see then just let me know. As well as the list below I will post a couple of photos when I get chance.

All the books are in good condition unless otherwise stated:

The two guide books are probably out of date but I will post - they are in good condition.

Shanghai Lonely Planet (2004)

Tianjin Basics (2010)

Sorry to hear you're leaving, hope it's for greener pastures! I'm already inundated with unread and half-read books, so I'll have to pass, looks like a nice selection though.

Aw man, I wish I was there, I bet that idiom book is super cool.

Yes, back to the UK for some further study. I am expecting a bit of culture shock - it's been too long. Will be at The School of Contemporary Chinese Studies in Nottingham.

I just moved to Beijing and I want to do some intense self-study for the next month. I would really love to use your books if they are still available.
