Hey all,

Someone commented on my original post from Reddit to try this forum out for more insight. Here it is:

"I understand that there are many variations of translating this word into Mandarin. I've seen many different versions on google translate as well as different people's interpretation of the word. Some are translating it literally, some use some artistic flair or emotion

So what is your translation of the word "fearless" and provide an explanation if possible

EDIT: For context, this is for a tattoo piece I'm trying to complete.

Long story short, i have the phrase or word "fearless" tattooed in both languages (Chinese and Filipino) on my body to symbolise my bicultural identity but also mark my coming out experience. My grandfather used to write calligraphy every morning and I've always wanted him to write it out for me. He never got a chance to because his fine motor skills failed him during his last few months.

Also, I already have the Filipino counterpart tattooed already. It translates to fearless but also brave, fierce, gutsy and rough around the edges.

Thank you!"
