Electrical goods in China

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a laptop and mp3 player soon, but will be heading to China in a couple of months and wondering how the cost of this sort of thing there compares to buying in the UK or Australia.

Internationally known brands (i.e Japanese!) cost around the same as in the UK.

Local brands are cheaper, but the quality is usually somewhat lower.
